One of the foundational pieces of the Advisory program at Fayetteville High School will be the use of Naviance Student. Naviance Student makes it easier and more engaging than ever for students to answer the four most important questions that shape their future:

  1. Who am I?
  2. What do I want to be?
  3. How will I get there?
  4. How will I succeed?

Because we want to provide college, career, and life readiness guidance for ALL students, it is imperative that we have a tool that allows students and parents the opportunity to personalize their plan for high school and beyond.

Students in each grade level will be assigned various tasks to complete in Naviance as they relate to college, career, and life readiness. We want to engage you, as parents, in the process as well. Parents have view-only access to Naviance Student and can request an account with Deanna Norman (deanna.easton@g.fayar.net). Ultimately, we want you to know that at FHS, we take college, career, and life readiness very seriously and that this process involves a partnership between FHS staff, students, and parents.

Listed on the left are resources that will help you learn about what Naviance can do for your child. Again, this is a tool that will allow you engage in a conversation with your child about their high school and post-secondary plans, as well as see/monitor the work that they complete during their Advisory period. If you have any questions about Naviance or want to visit with someone about your child’s specific needs, please contact your child’s assigned counselor and they will be happy to assist you.
