THURSDAY, February 28th is the last day for Book Hogs Reading Contest. Return Playbooks Friday and no later than Monday, March 4th. Book Hog winners will be announced Wednesday, March 6th. Finish strong!
Students can earn a chance at going to the Bud Walton Arena Book Hogs party and to meet athletes, mascots, cheerleaders and band members by entering the Book Hog reading contest where they read at least 360 minutes in February. Book Hogs playbooks go home in Monday folders on January 28th and the reading begins February 1. Keep playbooks at home and parents will keep track of student minutes read in the playbook. Send them back to the school March 1st. Students need to read a minimum of 360 minutes to get in the March 13th drawing for the Book Hogs Razorback party. Razorback Athletes will be on hand at the assembly to draw 30 winners who will attend the party at Bud Walton Arena. Washington Media Specialist, Danielle Champagne, has prizes of her own to give. The student with the most hours read will get a Book Fair gift certificate. All students who read more minutes in February than Ms. Champagne does will be entered into a drawing for a movie pass.
Book Hogs is sponsored by AT&T, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation.
