Fayetteville High School students spent the evening connecting with college representatives and industry partners to explore career opportunities in agriculture and beyond.

From agricultural business and environmental science to communications, engineering, and more, students had the chance to ask questions, learn about career pathways, and get valuable information about college admissions, scholarships, and FAFSA.

Students from John L Colbert Middle School teamed up with the Fayetteville Aeronautics and Space Team at Lewis Park for an exciting hands on learning experience.

Students designed and built their own paper rockets, launched them, and collected and recorded data from their flights. Along the way, they put science and engineering concepts into action while learning from FHS students who share their passion for rocketry.

What a great way to learn, explore, and experience science beyond the classroom! 🚀 💜

Fayetteville High School’s Eco Fashion Club is celebrating its 5th year of promoting environmental stewardship and responsible fashion consumerism! ♻️👕

The club was honored with the 2024 City of Fayetteville Environmental Stewardship Award in the Young Innovators category and recently received a textile recycling grant from Fayetteville Public Education Foundation. So far, students have helped divert more than 500 pounds of textiles from landfills!

Students operate the Bulldog Swap and Shop during most advisory hours, helping make sustainable fashion affordable and accessible for students. 🛍️ All clothes and shoes are priced at $5 and under.

With the help of Stephanie Jordan, Clay Morton, and Tracy King, our Bulldogs are creating a sanctuary for native plants, bees, and butterflies.
We are proud of these Bulldogs for choosing hands-on sustainability and proving that small changes in our own backyard can make a world of difference. 💜

Fayetteville High School celebrated academic excellence at the annual AP Scholar Luncheon! 🎉
One hundred fifty-five seniors from the Class of 2026 were recognized for their outstanding performance on AP Exams, earning distinctions as AP Scholars, AP Scholars with Honor, and AP Scholars with Distinction. In fact, 1 out of every 5 seniors in the Class of 2026 earned AP Scholar recognition.

Fayetteville High School AP Environmental Science students took a hands on approach to learning during their sustainable urbanization unit. 🌱

As part of the lesson, students worked in teams to design and build their own urban development plans using LEGO bricks. Each team member took on a specific role and worked together to balance important real world factors such as affordable housing, city revenue, environmental impact, and developer return on investment.

This interactive activity gave students a deeper understanding of the challenges and decision making involved in creating sustainable, thriving communities.💜

Fayetteville Public Schools partners with Arkansas Game and Fish Commission at the J.B. and Johnelle Hunt Family Ozark Highlands Nature Center to give Fayetteville High School biology students an unforgettable hands-on experience through the School of Conservation Leadership program.

Students are studying macroinvertebrates, learning forestry and tree identification, hiking with binoculars, trying out outdoor activities like archery, and exploring the Ozarks’ karst environment in the new Cave Simulation Trailer. This immersive program combines learning and adventure, giving students real-world conservation experiences they won’t forget!

Fayetteville High School Sports Broadcasting class recently received a precision playback device used for replaying sports plays, thanks to a grant from the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation! We caught students getting hands-on experience with the new equipment and learning how to use this exciting tool that brings real-world broadcasting skills into the classroom!

The Foundation’s new Executive Director, Tony Moten, Jr., was on hand to see the equipment in action, along with Foundation Coordinator Maya Lewis, as students practiced using the new technology.
