@FayettevilleHS A Cappella and Encore groups participated in the Arkansas State Choral Performance Assessment and received the highest ratings possible. Encore went on to win BEST IN CLASS for their 7A Large Ensemble Division---essentially the equivalent of a state championship!


Congratulations to @FayettevilleHS senior Alice Cai for being selected as a semifinalist in the 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholars competition. From nearly 3.6 million graduating seniors, over 6,500 students were identified as candidates and Alice is now 1 of 625 students remaining.

Congratulations to @FayettevilleHS students Clementine Taylor and Anna Scheerschmidt for winning gold at the State FCCLA Conference. Best of luck at Nationals! Both students are sponsored by Jordan Finn and Brianna McCoy in FCCLA. #PurpleReign

Fayetteville High School HOSA - Future Health Professionals had 17 students compete in one or multiple events in the state leadership conference this past March. We have 9 students place 1st in the state, 2 students place 2nd in the state, and 4 students place 3rd in various competitions. Trusha Liyanage was also elected as a 2021-2022 State Officer.

Congratulations to the Fayetteville FFA Food Science Team for ranking in the top 5 teams at the State FFA Career Development Events (CDEs). Team members are Sara Albertson, Madilyn Edwards, Cason Frisby, and Luke Parsons. Cason and Sara placed among the top 15 individuals in the state.
The Food Science and Technology CDE requires students to have an in-depth understanding of food product development, food presentation, food science concepts, and food safety issues. Students participate in a team activity where they create a food product, calculate the nutrition facts, design a label for the product, and develop a marketing plan to present as a group. Individuals also complete an objective test, math practicum, sensory tests, and evaluate food safety and quality issues.
