Congratulations to @FayettevilleHS teacher, Warren Rosenaur, who was inducted into the Arkansas Thespian Hall of Fame this weekend at the Arkansas State Thespian Festival! #PurpleReign

Fayetteville High School Thespian Troupe 717 attended the State Thespian Festival held in Jonesboro, Arkansas from February 13th-15th. At this festival, students were adjudicated in solo & duet performances, technical elements, short film, group scenes and musicals. The festival offered workshops to over 1,300 students to strengthen their artistic crafts in dance, acting, technical theatre, college/audition prep, and several others theatre skills lead by talented presenters from across the United States. Students also auditioned to colleges from across the nation. This year’s total scholarship offerings to our Arkansas Thespians was over $2 million!

Over the past two weeks, the @FayettevilleHS F.R.I.E.N.D.S. club members have visited Holcomb Elementary and Leverett Elementary. FHS student members read-aloud to, ate lunch with, crafted art projects, and played at recess with over 300 kindergartners and first graders! We can't wait for our next visit to Asbell Elementary on March 6th. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. stands for Fluency and Reading In Elementaries to Nurture Diversity and Success. This year we received a grant through FPEF and were able to add 30 children's books to the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. collection in the MWM library; these books are available for check out after our last visit in March; the books share themes of friendship, diversity, tolerance, and building confidence.
