@FayettevilleHS students had the privilege of learning about Tyson maintenance, mechanics, and electrical careers from Crystal Hodge and Rodney Ellis of Tyson Foods. The speakers also explained to students the ways to add value to themselves in the workplace.

Congratulations to @FayettevilleHS students Alana Hobson, Lauryn Durby and Tiana Sigears for their prize-winning submissions to the Black History Month student essay writing contest. Contest winners were recognized at the annual Compassion Fayetteville’s Black History Month Celebration Day on Sunday, February 24th at Saint James Missionary Baptist Church. Prizes of $50-100 were awarded to essays on this year’s focus; Images of Black Excellence: Past, Present, and Future. The subject explores the positive impact of Black leaders in Northwest Arkansas. Thank you to all students who participated in the contest for their efforts and honoring a meaningful cause.
